RESULTS OF ENGLISH PREMIER & CHAMPIONS' FANTASY LEAGUES SEASON 09/10

WHAT A SEASON!

 A full season of upsets, injuries, unexpecteds, thrashings, hattricks & more, stretched right up to the final game week. As everyone knows, Chelsea has won the Premier League Champions title, earning them the top spot in the Champions' League next season.

As for the Fantasy Soccer Managers associated with this blog, it's also been a great learning experience. I, for one, have never followed the English Premier League more closely in my entire life as I did the 09/10 season. Why? Simply because this season, I became a FSM (Fantasy Soccer Manager). And in order to keep scoring week after week, I have learnt more about the intricacies of managing a soccer club. Not only me, but all the 1st timer FSMs out there. How injuries can turn a team upside down, the importance of having a balanced team, how players from losing sides can still come out as top scorers, how devastating upsets can be for the favourites & how fantastic it can be for the underdogs. How being in-form can be important for a relatively unknown player against a top-class but off-form player. And not forgetting the mindset of the real team managers & how their selection can be fantastic or devastating depending on the FSM's selection.

All in all, it has been an exciting season for all. And to end it off on a high note, the FSM Champions are being announced here. The FSMs associated with this site were from Ansaldo STS Malaysia & The Nakos Family, played across 3 different platforms, Fantasy Premier League, ESPN SoccerNet & Stadium Astro. This also gave us an opportunity to test out the variety of platforms & how the gameplay & strategies differ from one platform to the other. The results ?

1st up is the ESPN SoccerNet Fantasy Soccer Cup. There were two leagues with associated FSMs operating in this platform, The Ansaldo Super League (Ansaldo STS Pts) & The S2 Championship (The Nakos Family Pts).
